. The lab integrates cutting edge technology with a simulated living space offering hands-on experiences such as:
- Adaptive cooking techniques (how do you cook using only one hand?)
- Bed mobility and transfer training
- Use of environmental control unit for voice/switch activation
- Retraining daily living skills lost through disability or impairment
Rehabilitation Laboratory (Pediatrics Laboratory) – H 103 and H 105
- Used to teach assessment and treatment of children with disabilities.
- The pediatric laboratory contains oversized swinging bolsters and nets for use in assessment and treatment
- Provides sensory input to facilitate motor responses
- Stimulating reflex responses
Practice Laboratory - H 106
- Open for independent student practice at all levels
- Senior nursing student mentor available to assist one on one
- Students practice a variety of skills: IV insertion, injections, physical assessment, sterile technique, wound care, naso-gastro tube feeding
